RAREPEPE — The Nakamoto Card · Hoodie
Series 1, Card 1 — the first card of the Rare Pepes, and the earliest known Pepe issued as a Counterparty asset. Minted 9 September 2016 under a description Mike wrote into the transaction himself: "The most rare pepe that has ever existed." Three hundred were issued; two have since been burned; 298 remain.
The green face is Dorian Nakamoto, the engineer Newsweek wrongly named as Bitcoin's creator in 2014. The joke is on the magazine.
Printed as it exists on-chain: every pixel of Mike's 400-by-560 original, enlarged by whole-number steps only, never smoothed or upscaled by software, never touched by AI. Card size 2.67 by 3.73 inches, centred on the front, with the asset name set about eight inches wide beneath it and the series under that.
Artwork by Mike. Licensed directly from the artist — see our artist terms. 20% of net revenue on every hoodie is Mike's, held for him until he says where it goes.
This is a hoodie. It is not a RAREPEPE. It is, however, warm.
50% pre-shrunk cotton, 50% polyester
Fabric weight: 8.0 oz/yd² (271.25 g/m²)
Air-jet spun yarn with a soft feel and reduced pilling
Double-lined hood with matching drawcord
Quarter-turned body to avoid crease down the middle
1 × 1 athletic rib-knit cuffs and waistband with spandex
Front pouch pocket
Double-needle stitched collar, shoulders, armholes, cuffs, and hem
Blank product sourced from Bangladesh, Nicaragua, Honduras or El Salvador
Prefer it on the left chest, with the name small beneath the card? Same card, same size, different shirt — the left-chest print is here.
Disclaimer: The front pocket fits a hardware wallet. Whether there's a RAREPEPE on it is your business.
