GOXPEPE — In this moment we are euphoric · Hoodie

Series 1, Card 2, issued 13 September 2016 from the same address that had issued RAREPEPE four days earlier. Fifteen hundred minted, fifteen hundred still there.

The face is Mark Karpelès of Mt. Gox, the exchange that halted withdrawals in February 2014 and went down with several hundred thousand customer bitcoin. The line is widely read as a riff on a 2013 post about being enlightened by one's own intelligence — which lands rather differently coming from Gox.

On the left chest of a heavyweight hoodie, printed as it exists on-chain — every original pixel doubled by whole numbers, nothing smoothed, nothing generated, no AI. 2.67 by 3.73 inches under the drawstrings, asset name and series beneath.
